Descriptions of our Season 2 Episodes:

Episode #1 - The Pearl Grey Guinea Fowl are 9-months old now. The flock enjoys a day outside the coop yard. First on their agenda... a dust bath!

Episode #2 - The Flock's 1st Egg! When all conditions are right, Adult Guinea Fowl hens will lay eggs March through October. This flock is only 9 months-old, so this spring will be their very first egg laying experience. Watch as this new mother guinea hen tends to her egg.

Episode #3 - Laying Eggs & Flying! This episode features closeups of the hens laying their eggs. The guinea fowl also climb a tall hillside and take flight!

Episode #4 - The Chase is ON! The "Boy" guineas are doing some chasing to win the attention of the guineahens. Think of it as showing their "studliness." A guineahen calls for her mate from atop her nest of eggs. And the flock enjoys some candy - white prosso millet.

Episode #5 - The Keets Are Here! Close up video of spring keet egg hatching inside a Genesis #1588 Incubator. The keets started hatching on day 26 and continued through day 30. Out of 21 eggs, 20 keets hatched successfully.

Episode #6 - The Flock is 1 Year Old! Shot the end of June - That's when the flock turned 1 year old. They are enjoying free ranging and taking dust bathes. It is beginning to get hot now and they all disappear under the Juniper trees everyday between noon and 4 PM to cool off and chat about the day. And boy do they! Bella our Akita guard dog is still doing well with the guinea fowl flock. She watches over them and they know it.

Episode #7 - Summer Hatching & Akita Brooding - Several keets are hatching inside the HovaBator incubator. Plus a brooder full of day old keets. Enjoy Bella, the Akita Dog, as she closely watches over the brooder box full of keets.

Episode #8 - The Guineahens Hatch Their Own Keets - Several new moms (and dads) taking care of their day-old keets. After incubating several hatches ourselves, it was refreshing to see the hens take care of their own keets on their own turf. And do such a great job at it!
