Keet Brooder Box or Chick Brooder Box

Photo of Guinea Fowl Brooder

The outside dimensions of the finished brooder box are: 24" x 44" x 28". Only two 2"x4" frames were used to keep the weight down. The 3/8" plywood sides, like all of the plywood used, are stapled to the frame of the brooder box every 3" with 1" furniture staples. This method of construction keeps the weight lower and the strength of the brooder box high.

Shown here with the front cover removed, our brooder box design allows for great viewing. We call it "Guinea TV." If desired, we can tilt out the front and peak at the Guinea keets - just to make sure all is well...

We can just lift the front of the top of the brooder box slightly to look inside at the Guinea keets, or to do the daily house cleaning we can completely remove the top! Being able to remove the top of the brooder box completely is very helpful for cleaning up after the keets several times a day.
